I observe children imitating models provided by adults and peers, initiating their trials, and learning from their errors. The ah-ha moments of discovery reward me daily. They beam at their accomplishments. As well they should. I can do it! Yes you can.
Working with young children is empowering. Adults share. Children trust. It is a natural symbiotic relationship. Adults should present their very best positive modeling to young children. They’re watching and looking up to us. Children will accept and carry forward what they’ve learned from us to next generations. This is being human. This is humanity.

I fully support the idea that strengthening a child’s development through playful relationship-building, is the key to successful and positive self-confidence. We want children to get along with each other, to socialize, and to develop a strong sense of self. That’s not done by reciting numbers, letters and colors, which are abstract concepts.
